The Red Skull is in possession of the Cosmic Cube, but it is a damaged version and needs to be charged. He plans to cause death and destruction in three cities -London, Paris and Manhattan- and transmute this death into energy to feed the Cube. But before he can make the midnight call to put his plans into motion, a cybernetic assassin working for Geenral Lukin shoots him.
